Last Call for Staff Sign-Up!
Want to help out with the Bartleby? You can still sign-up!
Hi everyone!
Thanks for everyone who came out to our first general body meeting of the semester! If you weren't able to attend, that's also fine! If you are still interested in signing up, feel free to complete this Google Form: https://forms.gle/Q5VPu19YGnERnnBQ7. We are going to be taking any sign-ups until our next general body meeting (Monday, October 4th). After that we'll be sending out a more detailed email to each team with a GroupMe chat as well as what we're planning to do for each team.
We also are still looking for section editors! If any of you are looking to help manage our selection or revision processes, we do have a number of positions currently open. If you've already signed up for a team and would be interested in helping out with the board, send an email to bartleby@umbc.edu and I'll get in contact with you about any open positions we have or any questions you have!
Additionally, we do have staff internship credits! If you are helping out with the Bartleby staff this semester (serving on one of our selection teams, primarily), you can enroll in the 3-credit ENGL495 internship course with our faculty advisor, Dr. Kate Lashley. Since the add/drop period has passed, if you are interested in taking internship credit, email klashley@umbc.edu for more information on how to enroll.

Finally, we are going to start our Writers' Workshops up again! We will be meeting for our first Writer's Workshop of the 2021-22 year virtually on Wednesday, October 6th at 6:00pm. We'll do some fun and easy creative writing exercises before reviewing any individual submissions people would like us to review. Do you have writing for a class? Personal writing? Maybe a potential Bartleby submission? We will read over them and give feedback at our Writers' Workshops! If you have anything you want us to look over, send it to bartleby@umbc.edu before noon on October 6th! We will prioritize reading pieces of people at the meeting, but we can provide feedback to you after the meeting if you cannot make it.
And that's all I have to go over! Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to help out with the journal so far! Don't forget the deadline for submissions for the 2022 edition is December 1st!
